Man from Wright County killed in two-car collision

A resident from Graff, Missouri has tragically passed away in a two-vehicle collision in Wright County on Thursday, July 10. According to an official report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), an 87-year-old male lost his life in the crash that happened at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, on U.S. 60, about four miles east of Norwood. The incident took place when an 83-year-old woman from Graff was driving a 2000 Toyota Tundra with the 87-year-old male passenger and attempted to cross eastbound U.S. 60. Unfortunately, the woman did not give the right of way and entered the path of a 33-year-old woman from Norwood driving a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado. The elderly man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene, and his family has been informed. Both drivers sustained serious injuries. The 33-year-old woman was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment, while the 83-year-old woman was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, as stated in the report. This incident marks the 17th fatality for MSHP Troop G in 2025.
