Man from Tinley Park accused in fatal hit-and-run collision in Orland Park in previous month
A man has been accused of a fatal hit-and-run in Orland Park. Robert Barajar, 41, from Tinley Park, faces charges including leaving the scene of the accident and reckless homicide. The incident took place last month at an intersection on South Harlem Avenue, resulting in the death of a 23-year-old Romeoville resident. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and later died at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox. Barajar was apprehended after fleeing the scene and failing to provide aid or report the crash to authorities. He was identified as the driver involved following a police investigation. Barajar is set to appear at the 5th District Cook County Bridgeview Courthouse for his hearing.
