Man from Springfield arrested in deadly West Bypass collision; victim's identity revealed
A Springfield man has been arrested for driving while intoxicated following his involvement in a fatal crash at the intersection of Grand Street and West Bypass. The collision occurred between a northbound 2006 Triumph motorcycle and a southbound 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan, resulting in the death of 26-year-old Cullen Beshers. The driver of the Volkswagen, 41-year-old Jimmy Waweru, has been taken into custody. The Springfield Police Department is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward. This tragic event marks the city's 16th fatal crash of the year, claiming a total of 17 lives.
