Man from Sioux City receives sentence following deadly crash in October 2023

The incident involved a collision between Staten's Ford Expedition and a Ford Fusion, resulting in the deaths of Terry Alan Frisbie and Judith Lee Jordan. Staten initially evaded authorities after the crash but was eventually arrested in Alabama and extradited back to Iowa. He initially pleaded not guilty but changed his plea in October 2025.
