
Man from Santa Rosa apprehended after causing DUI crash involving two vehicles
Santa Rosa police arrested Miguel Angel Martinez, 39, on Thursday for driving while intoxicated and causing a two-car crash that blocked traffic for a few hours. The incident occurred at 2:45 p.m. at Corby and Bellevue avenues. Martinez was found to be under the influence of drugs when driving, and during his arrest, he was also found in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. The suspect, who was on probation with prior convictions, had an outstanding warrant. After the crash, Corby Avenue was reopened at 5:15 p.m. Martinez has been taken into custody and is facing charges including DUI, possession of a controlled substance, and violating probation. The occupants of the other vehicle involved suffered minor injuries and were treated at a local hospital.
