Man from Rockford accused of drunk driving following intense collision
A man, Kyle Wienke, was arrested by Rockford Police in Illinois on charges of driving under the influence after allegedly causing a crash that led to a fire. The incident occurred on May 11 on North Main Street, where Wienke reportedly lost control of his Nissan Skyline GTR, crashing into a porch and several parked cars around 8:17 p.m. A passenger in the GTR was seriously injured with burns and taken to OSF St. Anthony. Lab results from Illinois State Police later revealed THC in Wienke's system on the day of the crash. He is now facing charges for an aggravated DUI crash causing bodily harm, though his mugshot is currently unavailable.
