Man from Garrettsville dies in Michigan snowmobile accident
A tragic incident occurred in Shingleton Township, Michigan, where a 22-year-old man from Portage County lost his life in a fast-paced snowmobile accident on the night of January 17th. Michigan State Police announced via social media that troopers were called to County Road H-58 in Alger County around 10:30 p.m. The snowmobile driver, a young man from Garrettsville, was unable to navigate a turn and collided with a tree at a high speed, leading to his fatal injuries despite efforts from first responders. State police Lieutenant Ben Eckola offered condolences to the family and friends of the deceased in a released statement.
