Man from Ellenburg faces manslaughter charges following deadly collision

An Ellenburg man has been accused of causing a fatal crash that took the life of a Mooers woman in Altona. The incident occurred when the man, Joshua R. Snide, attempted to pass a turning car, resulting in a collision with the woman's vehicle. Unfortunately, the 76-year-old Mooers victim later passed away due to her injuries. After initially fleeing the scene, Snide returned and was found to be impaired. He was arrested and faces serious charges including vehicular manslaughter and DWI. The victim's identity has not been released, and the investigation is ongoing. The State Police were assisted by Ellenburg Fire and Rescue.
