Man from Cape Cod accused of causing deadly head-on collision on Route 6

A man from Cape Cod is being charged with manslaughter and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol after a fatal head-on collision that claimed the life of a Hyannis man, announced Cape & Islands District Attorney Robert J. Galibois. The crash, which took place on Route 6 in Harwich around 5:26 p.m. on Thursday, resulted in the death of Mario Da Paixao Andrade, 48, who was the driver of one of the vehicles involved. The other driver, Zachary Fena, 49, from Centerville, was taken to Cape Cod Hospital and later arrested. Fena faces multiple charges including manslaughter, motor vehicle homicide, negligent operation, and marked lanes violation. He was arraigned in Orleans District Court and is being held on $5,000 bail, with a court date set for May 5. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
