Man faces charges for leaving the scene after causing an accident that left his friend critically injured

The Lester family believes that the incident involving Daniel Lester was an unintended accident, but they are deeply hurt by the actions of Lester's best friend, David Hall, who left the scene. The family was informed that Lester was struck by a car at the intersection of Clifford Street and Western Trade Drive. According to a family friend who witnessed the event, Daniel had confronted the driver of a truck who almost hit his vehicle. David Hall, Lester's best friend, was also present and attempted to pursue the truck, inadvertently hitting Lester in the process. Despite their belief that it was not deliberate, the family is disturbed by Hall's decision to flee the scene without checking on Lester. Fort Worth police confirmed that Hall turned himself in several hours later. The family is preparing to donate Lester's organs this Tuesday, a choice they feel aligns with his wishes. Lester is being sustained on life support, and upon its removal, there may be further legal implications for Hall, who is currently charged with a collision involving serious bodily harm. Daniel Lester is survived by his longtime girlfriend and two sons, both under the age of three.
