Man dies from injuries after police car crash
We have received an update regarding the crash on September 12th involving a City of Erie Police car. Unfortunately, one of the individuals involved has passed away due to injuries sustained in the incident at the intersection of West 11th and Sassafras streets. The 41-year-old man was pronounced dead at the hospital after receiving intensive care, as confirmed by John Maloney from the Erie County Coroner's Office. The accident led to three injuries, which included the officer with minor injuries, the driver of the vehicle, and a homeless pedestrian. The authorities, including the Erie and state police, as well as the Erie County District Attorney, are conducting an investigation into the collision.
