Man dies after hitting tree in West Clemmonsville Road crash, Winston-Salem officers say
A man has died after a crash in the Triad, according to officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department.On Monday, officers said they responded to a crash involving one vehicle in the 1500 block of West Clemmonsville Road. Officials said the victim, identified as Eric McKey, 43, was driving when he hit a tree.He was taken to a local hospital by Forsyth County EMS and was in critical condition. Officials said he died from his injuries on Wednesday morning.The WSPD’s Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the cause of the crash, which remains unknown.Anyone with information about this crash should call the Winston-Salem Police Department at 336-773-7700.
