Man dies after being struck by car in Rockville
ROCKVILLE, Md. (DC News Now) -- A man was killed in a Sunday night pedestrian crash in Rockville, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police. At 6:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian in the area of Norbeck and Avery Rd. There, a man was found suffering from traumatic injuries and was taken to the hospital, where he later died. His identity has not been released. An initial investigation found that a 2006 Chevy van was traveling northbound on Norbeck Rd. when the driver struck a man who was crossing the street, according to police. Police said the driver remained at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Collision Reconstruction Unit.
