Man dies after being pulled into conveyor belt in New Haven: NHFD
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A 23-year-old is dead after an industrial accident on Middletown Avenue in New Haven, according to the fire chief. The fire department responded to the 100-block of Middletown Avenue around 12:57 p.m. after a 23-year-old man was pulled into a conveyor belt, New Haven Fire Chief Dan Coughlin said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and New Haven police are investigating the matter. No further information has been released at this time.
