Man detained in Raleigh County fleeing car crash
In Beckley, West Virginia, a man was apprehended by authorities in Raleigh County for trying to flee the scene of a car crash on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. The accident took place near the 600 block of old Eccles Road. The driver, identified as William Marshall, and a female passenger left one of the vehicles involved and attempted to escape on foot. However, bystanders managed to detain Marshall until deputies arrived, leading to his arrest for Driving Revoked – 2nd Offense. He is currently detained on bond at Southern Regional Jail. The woman passenger was located in a nearby wooded area, incapacitated due to a leg injury, and was safely transported to a hospital for medical attention by emergency services.
