
Man detained in deadly motorcycle collision at Temple - KWKT
A man from Temple, Texas, aged 40, has been taken into custody on serious charges following a fatal accident in July that resulted in the death of a man from Copperas Cove. The Temple police department has identified Chad Christopher Ballard as the suspected driver of a car that crashed into a motorcycle driven by Jeremiah Westbrook. The incident occurred on July 22nd at the intersection of W FM 93 and Treiber Drive. Responding officers found the motorcycle rider, but the car involved had initially left the scene before returning later. Westbrook tragically lost his life in the accident, and the area was closed off for hours for investigation. Ballard was arrested on a second degree felony charge of collision causing death and transported to Bell County Jail, where he remains in custody with a bond of $40,000.
