Man charged with leading deadly high-speed pursuit in Cleveland: Officials
Cleveland authorities have reported that a man has been formally charged for his alleged role in a high-speed pursuit that culminated in a fatal accident. The 24-year-old suspect, Jaymore L. Whitaker II, is facing a range of charges including involuntary manslaughter, aggravated vehicular homicide, aggravated vehicular assault, and more. Reports show that the incident began when Whitaker, believed to be intoxicated, disregarded law enforcement's attempt to stop him for reckless driving without headlights. Whitaker, along with two of his passengers, sustained injuries and were hospitalized. Whitaker has been apprehended and is awaiting arraignment, while the involved deputies have been placed on administrative leave pending investigation.
