Man charged following deadly head-on crash in Hinesburg
A man from Chittenden County is facing charges following a fatal head-on collision in Hinesburg that resulted in the death of a woman. The incident occurred on Silver Street in Hinesburg on Saturday evening. The driver, 24-year-old Logan Cody of Shelburne, was traveling in the wrong direction when he collided with a car heading the opposite way. Sixty-three-year-old Lauren Morrill of North Ferrisburgh tragically lost her life in the crash. Cody was injured but survived and has been charged with gross negligent operation resulting in death. He is scheduled to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court on Nov. 13, and further charges may be brought as the investigation continues.
