Man arrested for fatal DUI collision close to Pine Flat.
The driver involved in a fatal accident at Pine Flat Lake has been arrested after being released from the hospital. The crash occurred when Luis Estanga, 40, was speeding down Trimmer Springs Road with four passengers, failing to navigate a curve and causing the vehicle to tumble 200 feet down an embankment. One passenger, Cristian Jaime, 46, lost his life in the incident, while the others sustained minor to moderate injuries. Estanga, also critically injured, was airlifted to the hospital and has since been cleared medically. He is now facing charges of driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, and his bail has been set at $163,500.
