Man arrested, charged in fatal crash
SPRINGFIELD TWP., Ohio (WKBN) -- The man accused of hitting and killing a mother and her son back in March was booked into the Mahoning County Jail on Monday. Walter Bolt is charged with two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, one count of aggravated vehicular assault and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol said Bolt was drunk and went left of center along state Route 170, hitting another vehicle. The crash killed Angela Brown and her son, 15-year-old Jason Daff. Twelve-year-old Jayden Daff is still in the hospital recovering. Troopers say Bolt's blood-alcohol content was .215, over the legal limit of 0.08. He is set to be arraigned Tuesday morning.
