Man apprehended for DUI in relation to deadly South Lynnhaven Rd. collision: VBPD
A man has been taken into custody in connection with a tragic incident that took place on the 600 block of South Lynnhaven Rd. back in May, as reported by authorities in Virginia Beach. The Virginia Beach police were alerted to the crash situation and quickly responded to the area following a call around 4 p.m. on May 24th. They found that a car, driven by Eddie Feliciano, 57 years old from Virginia Beach, was hit by another vehicle. Tragically, Feliciano succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, police confirmed. It was determined by the investigation that Billy Fields, 34 years old and also from Virginia Beach, struck Feliciano's vehicle after disregarding a stop sign on Bowling Green Drive, near Lynnhaven Mall. Fields has since been arrested on multiple charges which include involuntary manslaughter, DUI, refusal of a blood or breathalyzer test, reckless driving, and failure to obey a traffic sign.
