Man and dogs saved after truck plunges into Massachusetts river

A man and two dogs were saved when a pickup truck plunged into a river in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, early on Wednesday. The accident occurred when a Boston man lost control of his Ford F-150 on Pleasant Street around 4 a.m. The truck veered off the road, crossed a guardrail, and flipped over into the Matfield River. Emergency responders used a Stokes basket to rescue the man, who was later transported to South Shore Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Both dogs in the vehicle were also rescued, with one sustaining more severe injuries. The vehicle was extracted from the river, and authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
