Man admits guilt in crash that caused death of mother and daughter
In St. Louis, the man accused of causing the tragic deaths of a mother and daughter following a concert last year has pleaded guilty to the charges. Monte Henderson, 23, admitted guilt to two counts of first-degree involuntary manslaughter and two counts of armed criminal action for the incident on Valentine's Day, where he ran a red light, striking Laticha Bracero and Alyssa Cordova as they crossed a street. Henderson was reportedly speeding at 70 miles per hour, with a blood alcohol level of .194 at the time. The families of the victims expressed their sorrow and agony over the loss in court, with sentencing set for September 19. The defendant has been in custody since the hearing. If convicted, Henderson could face up to 50 years in prison.
