Man admits guilt for 2024 Smith County deadly collision.

A man in Tyler, Texas pleaded guilty to causing the deaths of two people in a fatal crash in 2024. Jose Bravo Jr. admitted to two counts of intoxication manslaughter for the incident that occurred on FM 2767. He was driving a red 2009 Mercedes-Benz when he tried to avoid hitting a dog, leading to the vehicle leaving the road and ejecting three people. Both Jose Bravo Delgado and Santa Lucia Bravo lost their lives in the crash. Bravo Jr. acknowledged drinking before the accident and voluntarily submitted to a blood test. He entered his guilty plea in front of Kerry L. Russell of the 7th Judicial District Court. The sentencing hearing is scheduled for July 24th.
