Man accused of stealing ambulance with patient inside, leading to crash in Southeast Michigan
A 33-year-old man from Novi, Michigan, has been charged with several offenses after allegedly stealing an ambulance with a paramedic and a patient inside, leading to a crash. Changlin Li is facing charges including carjacking, fleeing and eluding, assaulting police, attempting to disarm an officer, and carrying a concealed weapon. Li's bond was set at $5 million, and his next court appearance is scheduled for November 3. Police dashcam footage captured the incident, with Li driving recklessly and causing a collision. The man driving the other vehicle involved in the crash suffered injuries and was hospitalized. Li was eventually apprehended after a struggle with law enforcement officers.
