Man accused in Portsmouth Boulevard crash resulting in death : SPD
According to Suffolk police, there was a fatal collision on Portsmouth Boulevard Wednesday morning involving two vehicles. A car struck the back of a semi-truck, resulting in the car's driver being pronounced deceased at the crash site. Jason Rose, a 70-year-old individual from Chesapeake, is facing charges of DUI/DUID vehicular manslaughter in connection to the incident. Further charges may be added pending the investigation findings. The 1300 block of Portsmouth Boulevard was closed for four and a half hours following the crash, but has since been reopened.
