Man, 33, killed in two-car collision in Amelia County
A fatal accident took place in Amelia County on Sunday evening, leaving a 33-year-old man dead. Virginia State Police reported that the incident involved two vehicles on Chesdin Lake Road near Namozine Road. The collision occurred when a Ford F-150 pickup truck crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a Ford F-450 pickup truck. The driver of the F-150, identified as Jacob S. Barnes from Amelia County, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the F-450 sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Authorities are currently looking into the details of the crash.
