Man, 28, dies in ATV accident in Scott County, authorities report
A tragic incident occurred in New Market Township, Minnesota, where a man lost his life after his ATV was hit by a car. The Scott County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call on Monday evening regarding an injury crash on County Road 46 near 275th Street East. Reportedly, the 28-year-old man's ATV overturned in the northbound lane of the intersection before he was struck by a car while lying in the southbound lane. The driver of the car, a 22-year-old woman, was unharmed and authorities confirmed she was not driving under the influence. The ATV rider was taken to the hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries. Sheriff Luke Hennen expressed his condolences to the man's family and the affected community, and mentioned that the incident is currently under joint investigation by the Scott County Sheriff's Office, Minnesota State Patrol, and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.
