Maine Turnpike in York County blocked by multiple crashes
Two accidents occurred on a section of the Maine Turnpike in York County, resulting in lane closures on the northbound side of Interstate 95 during the evening rush hour, according to authorities. The Maine Turnpike Authority reported that a collision at Mile 32 in Biddeford had blocked the left lane around 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Another crash occurred at Mile 28 in Arundel around 5:30 p.m., initially blocking the left lane. Later updates at 5:45 p.m. mentioned that both the left and middle lanes were blocked in Arundel. By 6:10 p.m., the middle lane at the Arundel crash site had reopened, but the left lane remained closed. The travel alert for the Arundel crash was lifted around 6:30 p.m. By 6:45 p.m., all lanes near the Biddeford crash had reopened, though drivers were still cautioned about heavy traffic delays in the area.
