Main road closed after car crash, multiple hospitalized
A main street in the City of Erie was partially blocked off Tuesday morning due to a three-car traffic collision. The incident occurred at the intersection of West 26th Street and Rudolph Avenue around 6:30 a.m. Allegedly, one of the vehicles involved pulled out from Rudolph Avenue and hit a car traveling west, which then led to a collision with another car in the eastbound lanes. All vehicles sustained heavy damage, injuring at least one person seriously with several others being taken to the hospital. Emergency crews were on site, and the severity of the injuries is currently unknown. Erie police temporarily closed the road, reopening it before 11 a.m. The investigation into the accident is ongoing, with updates to be provided as more information is gathered.
