Louisiana driver dies in fatal I-49 collision
A tragic accident in Evangeline Parish has resulted in the loss of life for a motorist from Broussard. The incident occurred on Interstate 49 involving two commercial motor vehicles. Marcus Landry, a 40-year-old resident of Broussard, lost his life in the crash. According to authorities, Landry's vehicle collided with another vehicle while both were traveling north on I-49. Landry's vehicle failed to yield and crashed into the rear of the other vehicle. Despite being properly restrained, Landry suffered fatal injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was unharmed. The driver was not suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. Investigations are ongoing.
