Local man dies in lawn mower accident.
We are saddened to share the news that Mike Fledderman has passed away as a result of a lawn mower accident that occurred in Indianapolis last week. The incident occurred in the 8800 block of Lantern Lane, just east of Castleton. The Indianapolis Metro Police reported that Fledderman was in a rollover accident involving the lawn mower and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was 57 years old, grew up in Sunman, and graduated from East Central High School in 1986. Fledderman played college basketball at St. Joseph’s College before transferring to Purdue University. He was known for bringing ETC Sports to the community, where he streamed high school basketball and football games, as well as assisting in streaming Mass from local churches. Services to celebrate Mike's life will be held on Tuesday, June 3 at All Saints Parish Life Center at St. Joseph’s Campus, starting with Rosary at 9:00 a.m., visitation until 11:00 a.m., and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Nicholas School, St. Peter’s Church, or towards funeral expenses.
