Livermore accident severely injures 2, front end torn off vehicle

Two individuals suffered critical injuries in Livermore over the weekend due to a single-car crash that resulted in the front of the vehicle being separated, as reported by the Alameda County Fire Department. The serious accident took place on Greenville Road, leading to a swift response from multiple emergency agencies who worked together to extract the driver and passenger from the wrecked car, stated fire officials. The pair was discovered trapped within the vehicle, necessitating extrication due to the extent of the damage and the car's positioning adjacent to a brick wall. Additionally, the high-impact collision caused a live power pole to collapse, bringing down several high-voltage power lines. A helicopter was deployed to transport the two severely injured individuals to nearby trauma centers. Their current medical status remains unspecified as of Tuesday. The Alameda County Fire Department received support from the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department, California Highway Patrol, Falck Ambulance, and Reach Air Medical Services during the operation.
