Lineman in Morrisville honored for heroic car crash rescue
Nick LeBlanc, a lineman with Morrisville Water and Light, was commended for heroic actions in May when he rescued a person from a burning car that had crashed into a 170-year-old barn on Vermont Route 15. LeBlanc heard the driver calling for help and immediately sprang into action, breaking windows to pull the individual to safety. Reflecting on the incident, LeBlanc emphasized that he acted instinctively without considering the danger, driven solely by the need to rescue the person trapped inside. In recognition of his bravery, Morrisville Water and Light presented LeBlanc with a "hero award" as a token of appreciation for his community service, courage, and compassion. LeBlanc humbly expressed that while he hopes to never encounter such a situation again, he would unhesitatingly repeat his actions if needed. An inspiring story of selflessness and quick thinking in the face of danger.
