
Life-threatening injuries for motorcyclist in street race crash
A cyclist has been hospitalized in critical condition following a street race on Buffalo Road in Harborcreek Township. The incident, which took place around 6:10 p.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of Buffalo Road and King Road, involved a collision between a motorcycle and a white Subaru. Witnesses reported that the motorcycle and the Subaru were racing at high speeds when the motorcycle veered off the road, hitting a boulder and throwing the rider into a nearby wooded area. The motorcyclist, a 44-year-old man, was rushed to UPMC Hamot with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Subaru, a 32-year-old man, had his vehicle impounded by the State Police. Investigators, including a crash reconstruction unit and forensics team, are examining the scene. No charges have been pressed as the investigation continues.
