Lawyer criticizes Travis Kelce for supporting Rashee Rice with t-shirt

The winless Kansas City Chiefs are feeling the absence of wide receiver Rashee Rice, who is currently serving a 6-game suspension due to his involvement in a 2024 car crash. During a recent game, star tight end Travis Kelce wore a t-shirt with the message "Free 4," highlighting Rice's number and absence from the field. However, a Dallas attorney, Marc Lenahan, representing a client injured in the crash, revealed that Rice has yet to fulfill his $1.1 million settlement agreement. Lenahan emphasized that talk and gestures like Kelce's shirt are insignificant compared to the financial responsibility Rice owes to his client. Noting Kelce's substantial earnings, Lenahan suggested that Kelce could potentially help facilitate the settlement repayment by lending Rice the necessary funds. The car crash in 2024 occurred when Rice was racing on Central Expressway, resulting in multiple collisions and injuries. Despite facing legal consequences and civil lawsuits, Rice remains unable to meet his financial obligations from the crash.
