Lawsuit filed against driver, Amazon, and ZBN Transport by injured man.

A man who was severely injured in a tragic crash on Interstate 35 has taken legal action by filing a lawsuit seeking $100 million in damages. The lawsuit, filed in Travis County, names Amazon Logistics, ZBN Transport, and the driver alleged to have caused the crash, Solomun Weldekeal-Araya. The collision, which occurred earlier this month near Parmer Lane and Howard Lane, resulted in the deaths of five individuals and injuries to 11 others, including the plaintiff, Nathan Jonard. According to reports, the crash involved 18 vehicles, and Weldekeal-Araya faces multiple charges related to intoxication while driving. The lawsuit alleges that the plaintiff came to a stop due to construction, but the driver failed to slow down, leading to a high-speed collision. Jonard suffered severe injuries including broken ribs, a dissected artery, and other serious wounds. While Amazon expressed condolences and stated cooperation with investigations, the specific details of the lawsuit were not directly commented on. The plaintiff seeks compensation for medical costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering as a result of the devastating incident.
