LAPD officer named in deadly off-road vehicle accident
The Kern County Coroner's Office has identified Hector Javier De Leon-Saldana as the 32-year-old man who tragically died in an off-road vehicle accident in Bakersfield. De Leon-Saldana, who served as an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department and was stationed at Wilshire Division, was involved in the crash near Edison Road, north of Barbela Avenue on Sunday. He is survived by his partner Dulce, their 2-year-old son Gael, as well as his parents and siblings, as noted in a social media update from LAPD.
