Laclede County teen killed in early morning crash
LACLEDE COUNTY, Mo. — A 17-year-old from Phillipsburg was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning, June 27, in Laclede County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report, the crash happened at 1:18 a.m. on Highway B near Creek Road. The patrol said the teen was driving a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 when the pickup traveled off the right side of the roadway. The driver then overcorrected, causing the truck to cross the road, leave the left side of the road and overturn. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:30 a.m. by a paramedic. The teen was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the patrol. The pickup was totaled. The body was transported by Mercy EMS to Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon. The crash marks Troop I’s second fatal crash of June and the 14th fatal crash investigated by the troop in 2026, according to the report.
