Kyle Larson survives dramatic sprint car crash, hitting the barrier
When not competing in the NASCAR Cup Series, Kyle Larson often races sprint cars. Recently, he was at the Plymouth Dirt Track in Wisconsin for a winged sprint car race. During the World of Outlaws feature race, on the seventh lap of 35, he was in second place chasing the leader, Rico Abreu. Unfortunately, his car's wheel seemed to disconnect as he entered Turn 1 at high speed, causing the car to flip and crash into the fencing. Fortunately, Larson emerged unharmed and mentioned that it was likely the right rear axle that broke causing the crash. Now, Larson is preparing for the 15th round of the 2025 season in Michigan, where he will drive the No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, a track where he secured his first Cup Series win back in 2010.
