Kentucky lawmaker hurt in fence post driver mishap
Representative Thomas Massie from Kentucky's fourth district shared on social media that his cattle fence was damaged after being hit by someone he referred to as a "drunkard." Hurrying to fix it before it got dark, Massie ended up breaking his thumb bone using a fence post driver. This resulted in an exposed compound fracture of his left hand. Despite concerns from his followers, Massie made a joke about the injury online. He mentioned that someone joked about it being his non-dominant hand, to which he humorously responded, "'Of course it's my non-dominant hand; my dominant hand caused the damage!'" Massie was then taken to Portsmouth, Ohio, for treatment of his hand injury before being transferred to Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
