Kelvin Joseph of Dallas Cowboys Released on Bail After Involvement in Fatal Accident
Former Dallas Cowboys player Kelvin Joseph was recently released from jail on bond, following his involvement in a fatal accident on a Richardson highway. Joseph was charged with driving while intoxicated and for his part in a collision that tragically resulted in the death of motorcyclist Cody Morris, a 27-year-old mother of two. He was swiftly released on a $1,000 bond for the DWI charge and a $25,000 bond for the collision charge. The incident occurred early Saturday morning on North Central Expressway near Park Boulevard. Cody Morris was pronounced dead at the scene by Richardson police, and Joseph was later arrested by Plano police for suspicion of intoxication. The tragic loss has deeply impacted Morris's family, who are now raising funds for her burial, as she leaves behind two young children. Despite the heartbreaking situation, Joseph's legal situation has sparked outrage, with many feeling that the bond amount was inadequate given the severity of the situation. Joseph, a former NFL player who was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys and later traded to the Miami Dolphins, is currently playing for the DC Defenders.
