Rice will have some flexibility in deciding when to serve his jail time. The Chiefs organization could not be reached for comment, and their training camp is set to begin next week. Rice, a former SMU player, advised others to drive safely and within the speed limit. This incident brings to mind a similar tragedy involving Henry Ruggs III of the Las Vegas Raiders. However, authorities highlighted the importance of responsible driving and expressed relief that no further injuries occurred in Rice's case.
