Extensive delays occurred on the westbound span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge last Friday due to a multiple vehicle collision. By 12:30 p.m., a Maryland State Police Medevac helicopter had landed on the bridge. MDTA police advised drivers and passengers to remain in their vehicles during the delays.
