Joplin woman dies in train collision
A tragic incident occurred in Joplin, Missouri where a woman lost her life in a collision with a train. The incident took place on David Drive, near Tipton Ford in Newton County, before 6pm yesterday. The passenger, a 64-year-old woman, was fatally injured in the collision. The driver of the 2019 Dodge Charger, a 58-year-old Joplin man, sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized in Joplin. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the train passengers. This incident marks the 89th fatality of the year for Missouri Highway Patrol Troop D.
