Joplin Halloween night pedestrian accident charges upgraded
A Joplin man has been charged with a felony after reportedly hitting a woman with his car while allegedly under the influence of marijuana on Halloween night. Chad A. Davis, 49, acknowledged how fortunate it was that he only hit one woman during the incident. The victim, Mejia Gonzalez, sustained three fractured vertebrae and required stitches in the back of her head due to the collision. Davis is facing a charge of DWI resulting in serious physical injury.
