Jennifer Aniston's Gate Hit by Stalker's Car, Leading to Felony Charges
A man from Mississippi is facing potential prison time after reportedly stalking and harassing actress Jennifer Aniston for over two years. The disturbing behavior culminated in a dangerous event this week when he crashed his car through the gate of her home while she was present, officials revealed. The suspect, Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, 48, of New Albany, Miss., has been charged with felony stalking and felony vandalism following the incident, as announced by the L.A. County district attorney's office. Carwyle is set to appear in court on Thursday. The accused drove his car into Aniston's property in Bel-Air around midday on Monday and was detained by one of her security guards until law enforcement arrived. Suffering minor injuries, Carwyle was arrested by the Los Angeles Police Department. He has been accused of harassing the "Friends" star since March 2023, with prosecutors alleging that he sent unwanted messages through social media, voicemail, and email. In addition to the felony offenses, he is facing an aggravating factor of posing a serious threat of physical harm. Carwyle could be sentenced to up to three years in prison if found guilty as charged, with prosecutors intending to request bail set at $150,000. District Attorney Nathan Hochman emphasized the gravity of stalking crimes in a statement, underlining the swift transition from harassment to violent behavior that endangers victims and communities. Aniston purchased her Bel-Air residence, featuring stunning views and amenities like a guesthouse and pool, for nearly $21 million in 2012, as reported by Architectural Digest.
