Israeli jet crashes in Lebanon due to technical issue

The Israeli air force declared on Wednesday that one of its jets crashed in Lebanon due to a technical issue. The IDF assured that there are no security threats or risks of information exposure. The incident is currently under investigation. Plane crashes involving IDF aircraft are rare, with the most recent one occurring in August when an aircraft crashed off the coast of Palmachim due to a technical problem. In a separate incident, an IDF helicopter crashed in Rafah, resulting in the death of two soldiers, including the lead pilot, and injuring seven others. The crash happened during a midnight rescue mission with Unit 669 forces and when the helicopter was close to the ground.
