Iowa officials determine La Vista man as victim of deadly solo car accident
A man from La Vista lost his life following a solo vehicle collision in Iowa on Tuesday afternoon, according to authorities. Law enforcement officers were dispatched to the scene where they found the vehicle on its roof in the ditch near the intersection of 80th Street and Beverly Road. The Linn County Sheriff's Office reported that the vehicle had been heading south on 80th Street when it veered off the road, entered the ditch, hit a field drive, and flipped over. The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was thrown out and declared deceased at the site. The victim was identified as William Leroy Tomson, 70 years old. The incident is currently being investigated.
