
Investigation underway into 'plane incident' near Indianapolis Regional Airport in Hancock County
In Hancock County, Indiana, an aircraft crash occurred near Indianapolis Regional Airport Monday night, resulting in one person being hospitalized. The Sugar Creek Township Fire Department responded to a call for an "aircraft accident with entrapment" at the intersection of North 600 West and Airport Boulevard before 9:10 p.m. The Buck Creek Township Fire Department confirmed that the aircraft crashed into a field. It was reported that the crashed aircraft was a paraglider. While the extent of the pilot's injuries is unknown, they were taken to a local hospital via ground ambulance, as the initially called medical helicopter was canceled.
